Dr. Marks2.jpg

Dr. Jeffrey Marks is the managing director of the Washington Dog and Cat Hospital.  His special interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, diseases of the ears and dermatology.  He is a second generation Veterinarian and has worked in a Veterinary hospital since 1967 when he was just 12 years old helping his father, Dr. Alan Marks.  Dr. Marks was born in Detriot, Mi. but considers Los Angeles his home.  He feels that clients that bring their pet to the Washington Dog and Cat Hospital are not just clients but rather they are like part of our family.  Dr. Marks graduated from Michigan State University (Go Spartans!) in 1976 with a Bachelors in Science in Physiology and went on to receive his veterinarian degree at Michigan State University in 1980.  Dr. Marks and his family live in a house full of cats and a German Shepard.  His hobbies include travel and wine tasting in Northern California.

Dr. Wong.jpgDr. Angelina Wong

Dr. Angie Wong was born and raised in Los Angeles.  She worked with dog rescue organizations and was a veterinary technician throughout high school and college.  After graduating from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, she realized her dream to help animals by obtaining a doctorate in Veterinary medicine from the University of Flordia.  A year-long internship at the Veterinary Medicial and Surgical Group in Santa Barbara and a short stay at the Los Angeles Zoo followed.  She then found her home among the friendly clients, cute patients and caring staff of Washington Dog and Cat Hospital, where she works four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).  Her special interests are soft tissue surgery and emergency.  She loves to come in every day to meet new patients, talk to clients, figure out cases and make you pets feel better when they are sick.  She hopes to meet you and your 4-legged furry loved ones soon.

Dr. Lisa Barron Dr. Baron.jpg

Dr. Lisa Barron is a Los Angeles native.  She graduated from U.C. Davis in 2003 with her D.V.M. degree.  Thereafter, she worked in a large animal clinic and then a small animal emergency speciality practice.  Since coming to the Washington Dog and Cat Hospital, Dr. Barron has developed a true interest in routine and preventative pet car.  On her free time, Dr. Barron enjoys practicing Krav Maga, baking and jogging with her dogs, "Jelly", "Mr. Cooper", "Putt Putt" and "Sweetheart".

Dr. Katherine White

Dr. Kate White grew up in Silver Spring, MD (a suburb of Washington DC).  She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of 12 after finding herself splitting her time between volunteering at the local horseback riding stable and convincing her parents to adopt a variety of animals.  She earned a degree in Animal Science from University of Connecticut in 2012.  Next, she attended Veterinary School at St. George's University for her first year of veterinary school before transferring to the University of Illinois to finish her remaining three years, earning her DVM in 2016.

Dr. White prides herself in client education and her special interests include  internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, pain management and integrative therapies. In her spare time she loves traveling, hiking with her dog, Remy, horseback riding, cheese tasting and spending time with family and friends.  She is thrilled to be joining the RPVC and WDCH family of veterinary care professionals, and looks forward to meeting and working with you and your pet.

Dr. Joanna Choi

Dr. Joanna Choi hails all the way from Manhasset, NY, a small town on Long Island, close to New York City.  She attended Wellesley College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience.  Before veterinary school, she performed Parkinson's disease research, worked with a local small animal veterinarian, and worked at the New York Aquarium.  Dr. Choi received her veterinary degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.

Her interests include surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, preventative medicine, and exotics.  Dr. Choi enjoys spending time with her energetic Jack Russell Terrier named Maya, traveling, baking, outdoor activities, and discovering the beautiful state of California.
